Bakersfield Gun Depot LLC is a federally licensed firearms dealer (FFL). All firearm transfers require completion of federal and California background check requirements and must follow all applicable
waiting periods.
Firearms purchased from online retailers or private sellers must be shipped to Bakersfield Gun Depot LLC for legal transfer to the buyer.
Buyers are responsible for ensuring that any firearm they purchase is legal for them to own under
California law.
Note: California law limits most firearm purchases to three (3) within a 30-day period (effective April 1, 2026). Please contact us prior to purchase if you are unsure of your eligibility.

Bakersfield Gun Depot LLC accepts firearm transfers from licensed dealers and online retailers. Customers must contact Bakersfield Gun Depot before placing an order to confirm transfer details.
All firearm transfers require:
• Valid government-issued identification
• Completion of required federal and California paperwork
• Successful background check
• Compliance with all waiting period requirements
Transfer fees apply to all incoming firearms. If a background check is denied or a firearm cannot legally
be transferred, the buyer will be responsible for return shipping or transfer back to the seller. Firearms
not picked up within the required time frame may be subject to storage fees.
Under California law:
Buyers must be 21 years of age or older to purchase handguns and most semi-automatic firearms. Buyers must be 18 years or older to purchase certain firearms where permitted by law. All age requirements are enforced according to federal and California law.
California law requires licensed firearm dealers to collect applicable sales tax on firearm transfers, including firearms purchased from out of state sellers or online retailers.
Sales tax will be collected where required by California law at the time of transfer.
